Research Study

Flu Symptoms Study
We are conducting a research study with Research Across America involving Influenza Symptoms. At the first sign of flu symptoms, you may qualify for a medical research study evaluating an investigational medication for flu symptoms. You must be experiencing a fever of at least 100.4 and have flu symptoms (for example: nasal congestion, coughing, sneezing, chills, fatigue). The study requires 3 office visits over 28 days and 5 phone calls as well as 2 blood draws. Compensation up to $255.00 is available for time and travel. This research study is being conducted in our Carrollton office at Josey & Hebron @ Baylor Medical Center Carrollton, in Professional Plaza II, Suite 302. Don't wait if you have flu symptoms! Call us to schedule a no cost screening visit within 48 hours of the onset of your flu symptoms. For information on this research study, call Research Across America at 972-4-DOCTOR (972-436-2867).

Diabetes Type 2 with Heart/Blood Vessel Risk Research Study
This study evaluates an investigational medication, in addition to your regular diabetes medication, for those with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes who have high blood pressure and have experienced a heart/blood vessel event. The study is 24 weeks long, with a possible 28-week extension period. The study will last approximately 60 weeks and involve 14 visits to the study site. Compensation of $75 per visit is available for time and travel for those who qualify. All study related screenings, laboratory tests, and study medication are provided to qualified participants at no cost.
Study criteria include, but are not limited to:

  1. Men 45 and older and women 50 and older
  2. Diagnosis of type 2 diabetes that is not controlled
  3. Have high blood pressure and heart/blood vessel issues (i.e. previous heart attack or stroke)

This study is enrolling in Carrollton (Josey @ Hebron Parkway at Baylor Medical Center). For information call 972-4-DOCTOR (436-2867).
