James Raj, M.D.

Dr. Raj received his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Wesleyan University in Ft. Worth and then went to the University of Texas Medical School at Houston, graduating in 2002. His residency was completed in 2006 at the Baylor-Garland Family Medicine Residency where he also served as Chief Resident. With a special interest in sports medicine, he was offered a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship with Charlton-Methodist in Dallas.

He has worked with urgent care facilities in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area in the past and also in a private practice setting.

He currently holds the position of Student Health Center Staff Physician and Team Medicine Physician at Southern Methodist University, is an Assistant Professor of Sports and Family Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, is Co-Medical Director of the Exercise and Physiology Labs at the University of Texas at Arlington, and works directly with various teams at local high schools.

He has been a speaker and presenter at various conferences on sports medicine throughout the country.
