Richard A. Honaker, M.D.

Richard A. Honaker, M.D. received his undergraduate degree with High Distinction from the University of Virginia where he received Phi Beta Kappa honors. He attended medical school at the University of Virginia. After finishing an internship in Internal Medicine at Mt. Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, he came to Dallas for his residency training in Family Practice at St. Paul and Parkland Hospitals. Dr. Honaker became Board Certified in 1984 and began practicing in Carrollton in July of that same year.

Since October, 2001, D Magazine named Dr. Honaker one of the Best Doctors in Dallas, and he was also named as a Texas Super Doc by Texas Monthly Magazine. Currently he is featured on NBC channel 5 as the family doctor on “Hot on Health and Beauty!”
