Call for an appointment during regular office hours. Some appointment times are left vacant for work-in patients, urgent visits and emergencies throughout the day. If you are unable to keep a scheduled appointment, please give at least 24 hours notice. When you come for your appointment, be sure to sign in at the front desk upon arrival. If you are on a PPO or HMO (managed care plan) for which we are providers, we require you to show your ID card prior to your appointment and pay any indicated co-payment. We would like to schedule your follow up appointments at the time of your visit. Please bring your schedule with you.

In the event of an after hours emergency, call 911. If you are an established patient and need to speak to a doctor regarding an urgent situation, call the office for further instructions.

The doctor on call will be paged and will return your call at the earliest opportunity. Please limit after hours and weekend calls to urgent or emergency calls.

Please feel free to call during office hours. The receptionist has been instructed to inquire as to the nature of the problem and to pass it along to the appropriate doctor. Either the doctor or a nurse will return your call. Please understand that emergencies do occur and non-emergency calls will be handled as quickly as possible. For your protection, we do not treat illnesses over the phone, but we can discuss your illness if you need advice. There may be a charge for extensive phone consultations.

Depending on the medical problem and the medicine prescribed, you may be asked to make an office visit before we can refill your prescriptions. Regular prescription refills can be handled during office hours by contacting the pharmacy or our office. It is important to know that refills can take up to 24 hours to refill, so please be sure to call BEFORE you run out of your medications. We are unable to refill medications when the office is closed, since we routinely review your chart when refills are requested. Before new medications can be ordered, we will often want to see you to be sure the correct diagnosis is made and the correct medication and dosage is ordered.
